OUTSIDE THE LINES


Response to a brief set by design agency Tangent to design the brand identity for Merrell 1TRL’s Trail Run Club.

Brand identity and launch campaign following the idea of contour lines, based off the black lines in the 1TRL trail running shoe design. They reflect the metaphorical and physical ups, downs, and unity of trail running while connecting individuals across cities and cultures. With the aim of breaking free from the rigid routes and routines of the city, Outside The Lines is a visual shorthand for resilience, rhythm, and respect for the natural world. It’s values mirror Merrell 1TRL’s blend of heritage, function and fashion.
